Whitchurch Local History Society
The Whitchurch Local History Society
The Whitchurch Local History Society is a thriving local organisation whose membership has averaged from 50 to 70 in recent years. Our meetings are friendly and fairly informal and the talks are usually followed by question and answer sessions with the specialist speakers. The evenings are rounded off with refreshments.
We put on a varied and interesting programme of talks, mostly illustrated, throughout the autumn and winter in which we feature a broad range of history topics. These can include local and regional subjects and items of social history as well as featuring particularly notable places and people. These talks are open to members and also to visitors who may want to come along just for a specific talk.
Set out here is the outline programme for 2015 -2016 and we think there is something of interest to many people. Just come along.
